OK, ONEin3ers, at long last it is time to open up applications for the 2010-2011 ONEin3 Boston Mayor’s Advisory Council.
The Mayor’s Advisory Council was created to find out about, research and recommend solutions to the problems facing Boston’s ONEin3 population. Through the Advisory Council, ONEin3 and Mayor Menino work to improve quality-of-life for 20-34 year olds living in the City of Boston.
The Council works with senior members of Mayor Menino’s administration to identify and create policy and programming that will improve life in Boston for all of us.
Of course, I’m a biased source, but I think the Council is a one of a kind opportunity to shape our city and I’ll tell you why:
- You get to work with the Mayor and his staff, which means your impact is direct.
- You and your fellow Councilors decide what to work on because you know the City and your experience best.
- The Council is an opportunity to be a leader and a spokesperson for the 200,000 20-34 year-olds in Boston.
- We NEED YOU!!!
Most important?
The other people on the Council are simply amazing and you get to work with them.
So, if you’d like to improve Jobs and Careers, Civic Engagement, Social and Cultural Life, Housing, and Young Families (and anything else you can think of) for your fellow young people, APPLY HERE.
