ONEin3 Gets Around East Boston AND Block Party This Week!

ONEin3 is busy this week. We feel like the most active socialites in Boston right now because we have plans both tonight AND tomorrow. We just feel really cool.

TONIGHT, ONEin3 Gets Around East Boston. We have a couple tickets left and we hope you’ll join us. The rain is going to let up this afternoon and should be no problem whatsoever. You really don’t want to miss Scup’s in the Harbour, 303 Cafe, Harbor Arts, Piers Park and other awesomeness. Come along and explore another of Boston’s great neighborhoods!

TOMORROW (Thursday), ONEin3 is taking over Downtown Crossing for a Block Party. Read more here, but suffice it to say, there will be beer, wine, free food and music. How can you miss? Just another chance to see Downtown Crossing in a brand new way!

We hope to see you in Eastie and Downtown Crossing!

ONEin3 Gets Around East Boston!

For the latest in the ONEin3 Gets Around series, we head to East Boston on August 25th for an evening of food, drink, dessert and arts!

Join us at 6pm at Maverick and follow along for the finest Mexican food in the city, followed by 303 Cafe, dessert at Scup’s and the HarborArts Festival to cap it all off.

This promises to be an A+ way to explore a neighborhood that’s a little off the beaten path but well worth the trip.

Get your tickets ($29.50) here.

The Big Hammock

It drives us nuts here at ONEin3 HQ when people talk bad about the Rose Kennedy Greenway. We “activate” the Greenway all the time for lunch. And on our way to and from The Innovation District and many other places, we choose to walk along it because it’s beautiful and there’s always something new happening there.

The next new thing coming up? How bout The Big Hammock!

The Big Hammock is exactly what it sounds like – a big hammock for us to chill on and rock gently back and forth this summer. It’ll be near the intersection of Oliver Street from August 20th to September 4th and open to the public from Noon to 8pm every day. Go have a sit…take a nap if you want to!

We just found out about this today, so please excuse the late notice…BUT, the Boston Urban Music Festival looks pretty cool.

This Saturday, August 7th, some local and some not-local musicians will be playing a free show on City Hall Plaza.

See Ryan Leslie, Wiz Khalifa, M Dot and others will be live in concert and, did we mention…it’s free? Be there.

ONEin3 Block Party at Downtown Crossing on August 26th!

ONEin3ers…we’re throwing an end of summer block party with Knot Belts and it’s going to be awesome.

Come to the Downtown Crossing block party on Thursday, August 26th outside on Summer Street and you can do the following: drink ice cold $3 Budweisers, and delicious $5 wine selections from Casillero del Diablo. Have FREE food compliments of Max + Dylans restaurant. See a great band, In Like Lions.

Sounds good, right? Best part? Starts at 5pm. You can basically fall out of your place of employment into the block party.

Now, in all seriousness, we love Downtown Crossing and we think this will be a fun way to see it from another angle. We hope you’ll join us!

The Organ Gives Way to the Boston Landmarks Orchestra at Fenway Park – FREE

Something that’s surprised us here at ONEin3 HQ has been how much you all like classical music and opera. Maybe we shouldn’t be surprised. You’re a cultured crowd!

Something that doesn’t surprise is that you like free stuff. Well anyway, we have a combo of those two things PLUS Fenway Park. Sounds like a winning trifecta to us.

Boston Landmarks Orchestra FREE Performance Fenway Park, Wednesday July 7th, 7-9 p.m. Experience Fenway with an historic new line up: Beethoven, Copland, Bernstein, Anderson, and more.

Conductor Charles Ansbacher has selected an all-star repertoire from the classics to a fitting celebration of Jackie Robinson launching the Orchestra’s 2010 season with a grand slam. Highlights include Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, Beethoven’s Ode to Joy with the New World Chorale, Wachner’s The Jackie Robinson Story, and selections from Bernstein’s West Side Story.

Truly a Fenway first!

Tickets are free but required. No tickets available the day of performance. Downloaded at no cost from, or picked up at the Red Sox Main Ticket Office, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., through July 6, 2010.

Limit, four per person. Enter through Fenway Park Gate B. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Food and drinks available for purchase.
